The Huerfano County Historical Society is striving to:

  1. Preserve our historical heritage through the Francisco Fort Museum and the Walsenburg Mining Museum.
  2. Preserve and restore historical artifacts and sites found throughout the County.
  3. Record and maintain historical information provided to the Society for distribution to the museums, the local libraries and the Colorado State Historical Society.
  4. Record local edifices as state and national historical sites.
  5. Provide assistance on research projects.
  6. Promote historical events, dates and celebrations.

We need your support through your Membership to the Huerfano County Historical Society to be able to continue these and other projects of historical value.   Please take a few moments and fill out the form below and send in your membership check today!   Your membership card will be mailed to you.

2006 Membership Application

Membership Dues (Runs from January 1st to December 31st)

$12.00 per year (Unlimited visits + 3 passes - Both Museums) or $30.00 for three years

Couple -

$18.00 per year (Unlimited visits + 3 passes - Both Museums) or $45.00 for three years

Family -

$25.00 per year (Unlimited visits + 3 passes - Both Museums)
